When conflict and disaster arise the poor usually are hardest hit: 69% of all people killed by disasters around the world live in poverty.
Without social and public safety nets, people can be left with nothing, having to rebuild their lives from scratch.
On a foundation of faith that God will one-day make things new, we work to follow Jesus’ call and help the most vulnerable affected by the disaster. This includes:
- Rushing aid to meet immediate needs – such as food, water, shelter, sanitation and medical care.
- But also carefully designing projects that aid in long-term recovery.
