Tearfund Canada is made up of a team of people passionate about seeing the poor lifted out of economic, social, and spiritual poverty. Motivated by the relentless love of Jesus, we won’t stop until poverty stops. When disasters strike, we rush in.
We are always on the lookout for motivated people to join our team as hired staff or volunteers. We strive for excellence and creativity, and believe that ending poverty is more than just another job.
Current Openings
Digital Marketing Specialist
You will work directly with the director of marketing to strategically grow Tearfund Canada’s brand presence and donor base using digital marketing tactics such as Google Search Ads, Display Ads, Organic and Paid Social Media, SEO, and more. You will be involved in both lead generation and conversions, helping grow our email program as well as working on appeals.
Storyteller
Through writing and video, you will tell the story of how God is transforming lives in some of the poorest places on Earth. With excellent communication and a creative mind, you will seek new ways to tell stories in creative ways that resonate with donors and churches in 2021. This may take various formats including narratives interviews, articles, blogs, scripts, among others.
Marketing Coordinator
You will be involved in several diverse and important marketing projects throughout the course of your term that will invite new people to join in Tearfund’s mission of ending extreme poverty. You will be involved in projects such as Tearfund Sunday and Tearfund’s Climate Change campaign which contain multiple components including but not limited to content production, digital marketing, print marketing, and sales.
Advocacy Coordinator
You will be involved in advancing Tearfund Canada’s goals and activities related to advocacy on the big issues of today, specifically related to climate change. Along with the marketing and church engagement teams, you will help create and implement a climate change plan to help Christians understand their biblical mandate for taking care of creation and how climate change is affecting the poor. This may take on multiple aspects including but not limited to thought leadership production, marketing, advertising, and sales.
Fundraising Associate
You will be involved in several diverse and important partnership initiatives throughout the course of your term that will invite new people to join in Tearfund’s mission of ending extreme poverty. The Fundraising Associate will support the Development team in day-to-day operations including researching sponsor opportunities, communicating with donors and foundations, and ongoing stewardship.
