Join our live prayer meet-up

Are you interested in praying for the world? Do you believe that God can work powerfully to accomplish His purposes? Then join us for our national prayer gatherings, being held online every month.

You will join other Christians from around Canada on Zoom to pray for events from around the world, families who are living in poverty, God’s global church, and more. It is a wonderful time of seeking God’s face and fellowship.

The monthly prayer meet-up takes place on the third Thursday of every month at 8 pm (EST).

This Month’s Points

Pray for peace in the Middle East. As the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah edges closer to full-fledged war, innocent families are caught in the crossfire. Over a million civilians have fled their homes, forced to evacuate by the encroaching conflict and the sound of missiles, gunshots, and crumbling buildings. Pray for those affected by the violence, especially the families of over 800 individuals who have lost their lives in recent airstrikes. May God bring comfort to the grieving, protection for the vulnerable, and peace to the region. Pray also for wisdom and restraint among leaders to prevent further escalation and pray for our response and other international efforts that support humanitarian relief and stability.

Continue to pray for peace and security in Ethiopia. The Amhara region continues to experience turmoil, with reports of mass arbitrary detentions and rising tensions impacting hundreds of civilians, including academics and civil servants. Pray for justice and the restoration of due process for those affected, as well as wisdom and peace for Ethiopian authorities navigating these complex issues. Additionally, Ethiopia has appointed a new president, Taye Atske Selassie, who has expressed commitment to peace and dialogue—pray for strength and guidance in his efforts to bring unity and stability to the nation amid these challenges.

Pray for peace in the DR Congo. Please pray for the country as it grapples with continued violence, human rights abuses, and recent disasters. In eastern DRC, the security situation remains dire with armed groups, including the M23, reportedly committing widespread abuses against civilians, displacing families, and disrupting vital aid efforts. Pray for safety, peace, and accountability, especially as the UN extends its human rights monitoring mandate in the region, emphasizing the need for justice and aid accessibility for those affected by conflict and instability. Pray also for our local partner CBCA, as they plan for the next phase of their programs that will provide help for the most vulnerable.

Pray for India as it struggles with environmental and social challenges. Recent intense flooding has displaced communities and caused widespread damage across multiple states, increasing the need for relief and rebuilding efforts. Additionally, air pollution in New Delhi has reached dangerous levels as winter approaches, impacting the health of millions. Pray for those affected by these crises and for leaders to have the wisdom to guide effective responses, prioritizing health, safety, and sustainable solutions. Pray also for our local partner EFICOR, as they continue to serve the people of India. Pray that their programs and responses will reach the ones in need.

Continue to pray for the nation of Kenya. Pray for peace and safety amidst the continuing protests across Kenya, where calls for President William Ruto’s resignation and government reform have led to heightened tensions and clashes in major cities such as Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu. May God bring wisdom to the nation’s leaders and peace to communities affected by the unrest. Additionally, the effects of severe drought continue to challenge Kenya, with regions still struggling to recover from water scarcity and crop losses. Pray for consistent rainfall, sustainable agricultural support, and resources to aid communities facing food insecurity and livelihood disruptions.

Pray for South Sudan as it faces a deepening humanitarian crisis due to ongoing conflict, economic instability, and severe climate impacts. Violence between government forces and opposition groups has displaced millions, while recent flooding has disrupted agriculture, worsening food insecurity and affecting half of the population. Pray for safety, provision, and health for those affected, and for strengthened resilience efforts to support communities amid these overlapping challenges.
