Does Tearfund do mission trips?
We love to take people to our project areas to show what God is doing and the impact of their donations. We refer to these as Discovery Trips, and they are different than mission trips in several ways:
1) We do not go to work, but rather to observe and humbly learn

2) We do not go as experts, but as fellow Christians
3) We challenge participants to return home and become advocates for the work
4) We typically take smaller groups of people (4-8) due to travel arrangements in country and limits in transportation
There is an incredible richness in learning from our sisters and brothers in the Global South and hearing how lives are radically transformed.Â
As part of the Discovery Trips, we provide cross-cultural learning before we go. All teams are led by a seasoned leader from Tearfund Canada who is available to answer all your questions. We take care of all the travel arrangements, accommodations, meals, experiences, and you come with an open heart! Participants have told us that their lives have been radically changed in the few days we spend seeing what God is doing.
