About Bishop Joseph:
The Right Reverend Joseph Mamer Manot is a Bishop of the Episcopal church of South Sudan, serving in Northern Bhar el ghazal internal Province in the Aweil region of South Sudan.
He shepherds 45,105 Episcopalians, 95 parishes and 52 pastors. Bishop is completing his 2 year Master of Theological Studies at Uganda Christian University concentrating on Development studies.
In 2018, Bishop Joseph created a relief and humanitarian arm of his diocese and called it Christian Initiative for Restoration and Development Agency (CIRDA). Through CIRDA Bishop Joseph and his staff respond to food emergencies, improve access to quality education, improve food security and livelihoods, and mitigates the effects of GBV (Gender Based Violence) and provide protection to this most vulnerable sector.
He champions Church and Community Transformation as he leads several denominations in the area training them in the principles of CCT and Trauma healing.
Bishop Joseph has a shepherd’s heart and he works tirelessly to feed and protect the flock that the Lord has given him.
He is married to Revd. Clarice Achieng Mamer who currently works as Human Resource Manager for Malaria Consortium South Sudan and God has blessed them with 3 children, Joanna (17), John (14) and Joshua (11)
