The situation in Lebanon is rapidly escalating. Airstrikes and evacuation orders have forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes, with more than 110,000 people now living in emergency shelters and hundreds of thousands more displaced. Across Lebanon, schools have been turned into emergency shelters. Families are sleeping in crowded classrooms. Parents are trying to comfort frightened children while worrying about where their next meal or clean water will come from.
Many families fled their homes with almost nothing. Leaving behind belongings, livelihoods, and the stability they once knew. Overcrowded shelters increase the risk of illness, unsafe conditions, and protection concerns, especially for women and children. Access to clean water, hygiene supplies, and basic necessities is limited, and many families are unsure how long they will be displaced.
