Tearfund is working on the ground, partnering with local resources to deliver vital food aid to families in South Sudan. This assistance not only feeds the hungry but also provides hope and stability, allowing communities to focus on rebuilding their lives.
Right now, we’re working to reach over 7,700 people (1,100 households) with emergency food assistance, starting with the most vulnerable families including those with malnourished children, pregnant women, and households with single parents or the elderly.

When we travelled to South Sudan earlier this year, nothing was green. The ground hard and dry from months of no rain. Desperate, Elizabeth tells us that her husband travelled north to Sudan to find work and provide for their family. But since the war broke out, she hasn’t heard from him.
