Your Questions!

How do you know that the money sent to partners is being used properly?

Recognizing that our financial support comes from God, we are committed to wisely using the resources entrusted to us.

We hold ourselves accountable for strategically-selected programming, results-based management, and cost-effectiveness. Part of this commitment means ensuring that the money sent to our partners overseas is being used properly. We have a number of methods in place to ensure financial integrity.

1. First, before we partner with an organization overseas, we take an in-depth look at their financial standings and reports. We assess any risks that might occur if we were to partner with them.

2. Once we decide to partner with an organization, we create a program plan that has a corresponding budget. As part of this budget, there are clear outcomes to be associated with each project component. The budget acts as an ongoing tool to track both spending and progress.

3. We then pursue ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our partners. We look into direct outputs, efficiency and effectiveness, appropriate use of resources, and the extent to which results have been achieved. Part of monitoring involves interacting with beneficiaries as a means to cross-check the work of our partners.

Assessments occur when we travel overseas to monitor progress as well as during surprise field visits every 9-12 months. These assessments allow us to assess whether the budget is being adhered to and outputs are being achieved.

We are committed to financial integrity and being good stewards of the financial support God has given us.
