After years of oppression and hurt, will you bring healing through God’s love (and buffalo?)
You can help bring buffalo—and reconciliation—to First Nations communities in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
In Matthew 22:39, Jesus reminds us to love thy neighbour.Â
And though His love never falters, as Christians, we have fallen short of this command in the historic treatment of our neighbours, the First Nations in Canada.
We cannot change the past. But with your support, we can follow Jesus’ command and extend loving hands of friendship to our neighbours. Will you join with us in this wonderful expression of friendship and God’s love?
Through Tearfund’s Bring Back the Buffalo project –– with support from local partner Loko Koa –– you could help reintroduce buffalo to indigenous lands after their disappearance more than 150 years ago.Â
We’ve made a strong start. But there’s more to do.
Tearfund Canada’s initial herd of 22 buffalo have continued to grow under the stewardship of First Nations communities, but our aim is for the project to become self-sustaining. To do that, we’ll need your help!
Your gift of $50, $100 or a wonderfully generous $200 can help our herd of buffalo to grow—until it’s large enough to start another herd in a neighbouring community!
And then when that herd grows big enough, another can be started in the next community, and the next, and the one after that!
And that means your gift today will keep growing and multiplying (just like the buffalo!) spreading love and friendship through First Nations communities.
Thank you, in advance, for everything you’re able to give. What a wonderful expression of God’s love your gift will be for our neighbours.
