Ethiopian Landslides

Two massive landslides have devastated communities in the Gofa district, Ethiopia – 30 km away from where Tearfund works. The death toll is already 260 and climbing. Hundreds of families have lost loved ones, homes, and the land they farm to grow the food they need to survive. 

In response, Tearfund is working through the Ethiopian Kale Heywot Church to rush emergency food rations to 600 people. Families will receive food packages containing enough food to last them 2 months as they mourn and rebuild and trauma counselling to help them heal.
