HAVE YOUR CHURCH HELP PROVIDE EMERGENCY FOOD TO THE SURVIVORS OF CYCLONE IDAI
On March 14, Cyclone Idai brought “horrifying damage” to Mozambique, Malawi and Tanzania. Near the Malawi-Mozambique border, many communities have become un-livable. Houses, churches, and sanitation facilities have collapsed and families have lost everything. Concern about food is particularly high. Not only are survivors worried about what they will eat immediately, they fear they have lost their livelihoods and their crops and livestock were destroyed.
With your donation, we hope to provide emergency food and supplies to over 10,550 people living in a highly disaster prone area near the Mozambique-Malawi border. This will include over 300 tonnes of flour, beans, cooking oil and salt to help fulfill immediate food needs. It may also include the distribution of vegetable seeds, fertilizers, beans, maize flour and sweet potato vines to help entire farming communities re-establish their livelihoods and start rebuilding after they have lost everything.
Get your church engaged. We urgently need your prayers and financial support. Every hour that passes the amount of food people have in these communities decreases.
