This fall, hundreds of groups across Canada will come together for a night of trivia fun, raising money to help end extreme poverty.

The perfect event for COVID times! Gather physically or virtually together with your friends, family, small group, or church for an epic evening of poverty-fighting fun.

The quiz includes 10 rounds with 10 questions on topics like sports, history, music, and more. It is fun for all ages!

And we’d love for you to join!

We’ll provide everything you need, including a host guide, answer sheets, and a ready-made quiz video.

You can tailor the quiz to suit your group, serve food and drink, and make it as big or as small as you like.

Every dollar raised will transform the lives of people like Kanini from Kenya.

For years, Kanini worked 12 hours a day for a total of $2 – not even enough to feed her children two meals a day.

But today she owns a successful business and earns 20 times more than she did before.

What will I get in the pack?

You can download your pack from our resources page when you register. It will include A Host Guide, Q&A sheets, donation pledge cards, and the event video.

What Date is the Quiz?

Your church can host the quiz anytime this fall and even until Dec 31. We understand that during this time, plans are constantly changing and flexibility is at a premium! So feel free to host the quiz on a day that makes sense for you.

Is the quiz family-friendly?

Absolutely! we’ve designed the quiz to suit all ages and span the generations, from high school upwards. Subjects include general knowledge, sports, food, nature, geography, film, music, books, and history.

Can I use the quiz as a community outreach event?

Definitely, the quiz is a great way of inviting your local community into your church. If desired, we can provide you with flyers and posters you can use to advertise your event.

Can I change the running order?

As many as you like – this is a great opportunity to invite friends, family, and people from your wider community. The more mixed the teams are in terms of age, interests, and so on, the more questions they’ll be able to answer.

How do I get started?

Simply sign-up to host by clicking above! You will receive all the resources you need to make your Big Quiz a roaring success and a guide book to help you along the way.

Do I need internet access?

Only to download the resources. Once you have them on your computer you’re good to go – whether or not you’re connected.

Can we serve food and drink at our quiz?

It’s completely up to you. Feel free to cater or make any food you wish for your Big Quiz night.

How much should I charge?

We recommend a donation of $10 per person, but it’s up to you. You can also make the night free and allow participants to donate as they feel led. If you’re providing food you can charge a bit more to help cover the costs.

Will participants be able to claim a tax return?

Yes. All donations we receive $10 and up are eligible for a tax-receipt.

Where will the money raise go?

Your Big Quiz Night will help transform the lives of people like Kanini and her family to escape extreme poverty in rural Kenya. We have a goal of raising $10,000 which will help us set-up Savings Groups for 260 more people – impacting hundreds of lives.
