Country: Ethiopia
Project: Church-based Community Transformation
Based on the story of the woman at the well, Alive digs into what it means for us to go beyond our church walls and love those who live on the margins. Your congregation will watch the inspirational story of Abdella Kale Heywot Church and how they reached out to Ukume, a widow who was at the end of her rope. Funds donated to Alive will go to Tearfund’s Church-based Community transformation training, helping more churches in the poorest places meet the immense physical and spiritual needs on their doorsteps. Alive truly is an encouraging Sunday morning for anyone who wants to see the Kingdom of God grow!
Country: Kenya
Project: Creation Care and Climate Adaptation
In the face of water shortages, soil infertility, and food shortages, Streams of Living Water unpacks how the poor have been hardest hit by a changing climate. In this unique kit, your congregation will learn what the Bible has to say about caring for creation and the role that Christians can play. They will travel to Kenya to witness the story of Catharine and how, with the help of the local church, she was able to adapt and thrive through the implementation of sustainable farming methods. Funds donated to Streams of Living Water will go to Tearfund’s new climate adaptation project, helping farmers adapt and grow more food in the midst of a changing climate and communities thrive long-term!
